Ancient Pentatonic Sound Meditation

The pentatonic scale is nearly universal - ancient civilizations on every continent independently developed the pentatonic scale and it is still widely used in music today.  It is also based on naturally occurring mathematical relationships found in nature.

Neurologists have theorized that this universal quality of the pentatonic scale comes from the conscious and subconscious experience of the sounding of the overtone series of each note.

Because the pentatonic scale lacks the dissonant notes found in the major scale, there is no tension between any 2 tones and the resulting overtone frequencies, heard and unheard, are more coherent and harmonious.

This increased coherence allows us to experience a deeper and more relaxed state of being and to be more connected not only to our higher selves, but also to each other, the earth, the spirit world and the universe.

To protect and enhance the purity of the sound experience, Movement Insights uses crystal bowls that were created to be played as a set and are precisely tuned to each other.   The bowls are played with crystal wands to enhance the clarity of sound and the vibrational experience.
